My Background
Originally from Kamloops, B.C., I fell in love with mental health and wellness during my undergraduate degree at Thompson Rivers University. Eventually I went on to support survivors of gender-based and intimate partner violence at the T.R.U Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response Office, and supported student's mental health in the T.R.U Counselling Office. Before making the transition into private practice, I provided counselling to children, couples, and youth in a group practice in Kelowna. Across all of these roles I was consistently drawn to women's mental health and supporting individuals who have experienced trauma. These experiences have shaped the way I show up in the room with you.
My Approach
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, heard and respected.
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, I take the time to understand your experiences, your strengths, your relationships and the things that matter most to you.
Together, we can work toward:
-
Understanding yourself and your experiences with greater compassion
-
Recognizing patterns that may no longer be serving you
-
Building healthier boundaries and relationships
-
Developing tools for managing anxiety, stress and difficult emotions
-
Reconnecting with your sense of self
-
Creating greater choice and confidence in how you move forward
You don't have to change who you are to deserve support.

Outside the Office
When I'm not in my chair and counsellor cardigan, you can find me at a local coffee shop with an iced coffee in hand, or scanning the racks at one of Vernon's many little thrift stores. Witnessing people's lives continues into my off time as I catch up on the latest reality T.V. show or listen to podcast interviews. If all else fails, I love being outside and exploring Vernon with my wonderful Fiancé.
Listen to More About My Practice
I had the honour of being interviewed by Jeunesse Pearson with Happy on Purpose. In this conversation, I talk about why I became a counsellor, how I work with clients, and what matters most to me in helping people feel heard, understood, and supported.
